On May 6, the 18th Annual American Cancer Society Gwinnett Relay For Life will kick-off with almost 1,800 cancer survivors and their caregivers taking the first lap around the Gwinnett County Fairgrounds – appropriately titled the survivor”s lap.
This yearly overnight event gives the community a chance to rejoice with those who have survived, to remember the loved ones lost and to stand up against a devastating disease.
Gwinnett”s Relay For Life is the world”s largest and brings together teams of family members, friends and co-workers in an effort to raise funds and awareness for cancer. This year”s event hopes to raise a total of $2.2 million in donations – contributing to the more than $25 million raised over the past 17 years for patient services, programs and research.
Make sure you mark your calendars to attend this year”s event!
