Hudgens to Host Indie Craft Market in Duluth This Saturday

On Saturday, September 10th, The Hudgens Center for the Arts in Duluth is partnering with the Indie Craft Experience to host Made: Handcrafted Market. Between the hours of 11am and 6pm, join The Hudgens and over 75 vendors and food trucks in this free craft market. Throughout the day, experience great food and a variety of crafts, including free make-n-take projects. The market offers the opportunity for makers to be able to sell their goods and for buyers to purchase unique goods directly from their creators.

Since 2005, The Indie Craft Experience has strived to promote these opportunities for both the creator and the consumer as well as to educate shoppers on why buying handcrafted is better. These direct purchases achieve their goals of supporting local crafters and promoting uniqueness in the community as opposed to generic factory-produced products.

This event is being held in conjunction with The Hudgens current exhibit made, which is on view now until September 24th. The exhibit features the handcrafted works of four Southern artists whose making is so much a part of their lives, it has become an extension of their being.

Application to be a vendor for the handcrafted market ends July 22nd. Visit www.ice-atlanta.com for more information.
