Mall of Georgia introduces cornhole league with CornholeATL this fall

Seven-week league debuts at the Southeast’s largest shopping destination this September; registration now open

Mall of Georgia is welcoming CornholeATL to the Buford community for a fall cornhole league. The seven-week game series will take place beginning Thursday, September 6 in The Village, with a season-ending tournament game to advance to the City Championship Cornament! Registration is now open for those looking for some seriously fun competition.

“CornholeATL is a perfect fit for our guests – especially following the recent renovations in The Village,” said Teresa Holloway, director of marketing and business development for Mall of Georgia. “As we welcome this new cornhole league to Mall of Georgia, our hope is to further enhance the center’s friendly, open gathering spot for the community to connect and make lasting memories they will cherish for years to come!”

Gwinnett county bag throwers can register for one of three divisions, including beginner (hits the board one to two times per four bags), intermediate (hits the board consistently and makes a few in the hole) and advanced (all four bags are in the hole or on the board). Team member fees include $45 per player for early bird, $50 per player for regular and $55 per player for late. Games will be scheduled every Thursday for seven weeks at 6:45 p.m., 7:30 p.m. or 8:15 p.m. All team members will receive a league shirt.

Guests ages 21 and older can enjoy a hand-crafted cocktail, beer or wine from select restaurants in The Village while participating and viewing the games. Exceptional dining options in The Village include Tin Lizzy’s, Marlow’s Tavern, Cheesecake Factory, P.F. Changs and Smokey Bones – perfect for a pre- or post-game meal.
