Northeast Georgia Medical Center (NGMC) Braselton, the state’s newest hospital, began construction in May on a new expansion, allowing the hospital to begin offering obstetric services.
The $16 million project will be the first for the hospital and is expected to be open by January 2017. The new space will include 10 labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum (LDRP) rooms, two c-section suites,
a nursery and reception and waiting areas.
Currently, NGHS offers emergency services, heart and vascular services, orthopedics, neurosciences, advanced surgery and cancer treatment.
Emergency, medical services and physician offices in Medical Plaza B will remain fully-operational throughout the construction.
