Dr. Inchol Yun and Dr. Nikki Hughes are two of Northeast Georgia Physicians Group”s (NGPG) primary care physicians that offer care to patients – from babies to the elderly – in the Gwinnett area. Dr. Yun, an 18-year physician veteran, sees patients at his Hamilton Mill office and Dr. Hughes, the newest NGPG physician in the area, treats patients at the Buford office.# NGPG is one of the largest multi- speciality physician groups in Northeast Georgia. The medical group, which employs more than 125 physicians, physician assistants and nurse practitioners, along with other clinical staff within 17 specialties, has over 30 locations throughout the Northeast Georgia area.

With a passion to build strong patient relationships, both physicians believe in working hard to make sure each patient has a healthy quality of life. “I knew NGPG was the right place for me because they place the same value on patient care as I do – making the patient the primary focus,” says Dr. Hughes.

Preventive care is one of the ways NGPG provides top healthcare services to their patients. “We perform detailed health screenings for diabetes, obesity, high cholesterol and more.” Dr. Yun continues, ” NGPG also has several facilities across Gwinnett, Hall and Forsyth counties, so patients can visit the location that”s most convenient for them.”

NGPG also provides a proactive and unique service to enhance the patient”s experience through their patient centered care management.# “We have experienced nurses that follow up with each of our patients to ensure they”re receiving the care they need. For instance, if we”re treating a patient with diabetes, a nurse, knowledgeable in that condition, will be assigned to the patient to verify they”ve gotten all their medication and to answer any questions,” says Dr. Hughes. The nurse and the patient will remain in constant contact throughout the patient”s treatment, so as to build a long, trusting relationship together. This gives everybody involved the peace of mind that high quality comprehensive healthcare is being offered.

NGPG utilizes the latest technology in their practices. “Almost all of our primary care offices utilize electronic medical records that permit our NGPG specialists, or urgent care physicians, to access a patient”s medical record when that patient is under their treatment,” says Dr. Yun. The practicing physician is able to view the past doctor”s notes to better understand the patient”s background and provide the appropriate treatment and more seamless care. Through NGPG”s relationship with Northeast Georgia Health System (NGHS), the group offers access to state-of-the-art imaging services, including digital x-rays and mammography, 64-slice CT and 1.5T high-field MRI.

NGPG is afflilated with NGHS. The health system recently broke ground on their new River Place Campus in Braselton. Estimated to open early 2015, the state-of-art, inpatient hospital will bring expanded healthcare services and continue to provide top medical attention to a growing Gwinnett community.
