Proud to be Number One

The “#1 Community College in the State of Georgia” (theBestSchools.org) offers area students a world of options – that aren’t a world away.

“Georgia Military College is a great place to launch your future,” says Janis Anderson, Director of the Stone Mountain campus. “Our 24 associate degree programs are designed to prepare students to easily transfer to a four-year college or university.” GMC also offers three Bachelor of Applied Science degree programs in Supervision and Management, Business Management, and Logistics & Supply Chain Management. (Visit the website for more information on the BAS degree programs.)

Although there is a Military Science Department and ROTC program at the main campus in Milledgeville, there are no prerequisites for military service nor compulsory military service upon graduation, and there are “no military programs or ROTC course offerings at GMC’s outlying campuses,” explains Anderson. (There is no military requirement at GMC.)

The college prides itself on accreditation, affordability and accessibility, making GMC a great option for high school students seeking dual enrollment, as well as for traditional, non-traditional, transient, and international students.

GMC also offers free tutoring and flexible scheduling – for students of all ages – including online and evening classes.

Affordable tuition and ease of admissions are top priorities at GMC. Admission operates on an open enrollment basis and therefore requires only a GMC application with either a high school diploma or a GED. “GMC provides a quality education for an exceptional value. Our very affordable tuition rates mean you can graduate with less debt,” says Anderson.

GMC offers degree programs for the most in-demand fields, including business administration, computer information systems, cyber security, early childhood or middle grades education, criminal justice, information technology, pre-nursing, logistics management, and homeland security and emergency management.
