Saucier, Snack-Maker Win Big

Among more than three-dozen tasty offerings selected from around the state, a snack made in Duluth and barbecue sauce from Sugar Hill made the cut in the Flavor of Georgia contest. Sponsored by UGA’s College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, Flavor of Georgia showcases “delicious, innovative market-ready prototypes or commercially available food products.”

Those from Gwinnett who were named finalists: Savannah Snaps, which are made by Chandler Chase’s Verdant Kitchen in Duluth; and a barbecue sauce made by Michael O’Rouke at Sugar Hill Smokehouse.
