Kindling a fire in the next generation is exactly what the congregation and leaders of 12Stone Church hope to accomplish through the programs offered at the Maxwell Leadership Center. Believing that education is a continuous endeavor, 12Stone will develop leaders through training and coaching.
“None of us grow without change, and change is inspired by great teaching and coaching,” says Dr. Dan Reiland, Executive Pastor at 12Stone Church.
12Stone”s leadership development objectives are achieved through three primary initiatives: a residency program, leadership coaching, and continuing education in partnership with Wesley Seminary at Indiana Wesleyan University and the Wesleyan Church.
All courses and programs are hosted at the Maxwell Center that features classrooms, residents” lounge and the Williams Auditorium, a 200-seat, state-of-the-art, broadcast-ready recording auditorium. Currently 12Stone offers:
A Master of Arts in Ministry degree with Leadership Concentration gives students a unique opportunity to gain wisdom from seminary professors, while experiencing the culture and leadership DNA of 12Stone Church.
The Biblical Studies Program is custom designed by Indiana Wesleyan University professors. Students who complete the program with passing grades willget a certificate in Biblical Studies.
The Wesleyan Leadership Intensive is a two-year program. Pastors Kevin Myers and Dan Reiland offer leadership mentoring to pastors who want to gain knowledge into church leadership, preaching and leading from the platform, prayer, leadership gravity, lean ministry model, the faith development
cycle, best ministry practices, team building, and developing a leadership culture.
The Residency Program is a two-year, full time leadership training program designed to give hands on experience working with one of the staff teams of the church, personal mentoring, and leadership training to equip emerging leaders for a lifetime of ministry significance.
“We value partnering with schools where students receive key foundational learning,” says Miles Welch, Pastor of Leadership Expansion. “Our residency program allows students to continue to build their lifelong learning portfolio in a live lab setting similar in concept to teaching hospitals.”
Socrates said, “Education is the kindling of a flame, not the filling of a vessel.”
