Dogs Dive for a Cause at Lake Lanier Pet Fest

Don”t miss Lake Lanier Pet Fest, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. Oct. 1-2 at Laurel Park on Lake Lanier. Come see the amazing Dixie Dock Dogs diving competition! There will be agility demonstrations, inflatable fun for the kids, live music, dog contests and pets available for adoption. This second-year event will introduce the Pet Fest 5K and Dog Trot at 8 a.m. Oct. 1.

All Lake Lanier Pet Fest proceeds will help fund adoption programs at the Hall County Animal Shelter. The Hall County Animal Shelter provides abandoned animals with a temporary home, medical services including spay/neuter, and help finding a loving family. Operated by the Animal Services Division of Hall County Government, the Animal Shelter reduces the unwanted pet population through low-cost adoptions, spay/neuter services and public education, and enhances public safety by offering microchips and rabies vaccinations. The Animal Shelter, located at 1688 Barber Road, welcomes community support to better accomplish its mission of “Helping Pets, Helping People.”#
