Congratulations to Gwinnett Medical Center on the opening of their new North Tower!
Gwinnett Medical Center is transforming healthcare in Georgia with this new 8-story building which will be home to the Center for Neuroscience and Spine, Center for Cardiac Services and a Surgical Observation Unit in addition to centers for other specialties.
The building has many amazing features to improve the patient experience such as natural and indirect lighting, spacious family suites on each floor, rooms with double-thick walls and white noise for privacy and 31 private rooms per floor. There is even free wireless internet available throughout the facility.
The building was designed using the input of nurses, clinicians and more than 50 physicians, which helps explain all the amazing features. Overhead lifts in the building will reduce patient discomfort while aiding staff in patient transportation and doors in the North Tower are 7 feet wide – big enough for a Hummer H2 to pass through!
Join Gwinnett Medical Center and the community in celebrating the opening of this building this Friday, September 18. The festivities will last from 5 to 8 p.m. and will include a ribbon cutting at 5:30 as well as self-guided tours, refreshments and entertainment. No R.S.V.P. is needed.
See you there!
