Fresh off a sold out show opening for the Zac Brown Band at Madison Square Garden, singer-songwriter Levi Lowrey returns to his Gwinnett roots Thursday, November 29 at Eddie Owen Presents @ Red Clay Theatre. The show begins at 8 p.m., doors open at 7 p.m.
Dacula native Lowrey began his musical career as a fiddle player performing at bluegrass festivals, weekly jams sessions and as part of his high school”s orchestra. Inspired by Butch Walker and his Atlanta power-pop outfit, Marvelous Three, Lowrey grew into his role as a songwriter.
His songs include memorable stories with an upbeat country beat and plenty of introspective moments. “I write from true experience,”# he says. “And I find a lot of inspiration in sorrow, pain and stupid mistakes.”# Lowrey is currently signed to the Zac Brown Band”s record label Southern Ground.
Welcoming him into the fold, he joins forces with legendary venue owner-promoter Eddie Owen. A songwriter”s best friend, Owen”s music venue is a home away from home for performing singer-songwriters and their fans. After all, Owens has helped superstars John Mayer, the Indigo Girls and Sugarland get their start by giving them an intimate stage to hone their craft and build a following.
Admission to show, also featuring Michelle Malone and Gareth Asher & the Earthlings, is $20 in advance, $23 at the door. For more information, visit eddieowenpresents.com.
