A large distribution center recently opened on North Berkley Lake Road in Duluth. A 55,000 square-foot warehouse will serve as the Southeast hub for Madison Electric Products. It will house more than 2,000 different products.

“We are glad to be in Atlanta,” said MEP’s Director of Operations, Kirk Pace. “This new location was strategically chosen to enable us to make service to our customers as simple as possible.”

The new location will result in jobs for 10 to 12 new employees from the area. Founded more than 80 years ago in Cleveland, and still headquartered in northeast Ohio, the company serves a variety of investors and businesses. There is a coast-to-coast network of sales agents and distribution centers, as well as offices in California and Shanghai, China.

The company held a grand opening ceremony recently to mark the milestone.
