The thought of Christmas morning sparks memories of quality family time. Unwrapping presents beneath a festive tree is part of the holiday experience for some, while for others it can mean something as simple as spending time with loved ones.
There are some, however, who are not so fortunate during the holidays.
Clark”s Christmas Kids program aims to provide gifts to children in foster care across Georgia. This year, consumer advocate Clark Howard will join with the Georgia Department of Family and Children”s Services to provide gifts to 4,500 children in 97 counties.
Because of the generosity of Clark”s listeners and sponsor SCANA Energy, these children will benefit from the DFCS Secret Santa Program. In its 23rd year, Clark”s Christmas Kids is the combined effort of News Talk 750 WSB and 95.5 FM, B98.5 FM and 97.1 FM The River.
“We feel this is a wonderful program,”# said Simone McKinney, Media and Community Relations Manager for SCANA Energy. “Being able to help these deserving children during the holidays is a reward in itself.”#
SCANA Energy helped fund Clark”s Christmas Kids, and its employees will also volunteer time to the program.
SCANA Energy serves households and businesses as a leading natural gas marketer in Georgia. The company also has a regulated unit, SCANA Energy Regulated Division, selected as the state”s only regulated natural gas provider.
