When experiencing a personal crisis, many people turn to their faith for guidance and hope. The purpose of God is to make us stronger and aid us through challenges. Pastor Andy Lett shares three bible verses that show God”s strength and love for us, which can help us receive the solace we need during these times.
He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. Colossians 1:17
This verse discusses the supremacy of Christ and how He should be place before all the things in our lives. As a Christian, you can rely on Jesus to hold your life together. For instance, in times of crisis, such as losing your job or coping with the death of a loved one, you may feel like you”re walking on shaky ground. However, if your faith is grounded in Jesus, He will provide you with peace, comfort, and strength in the midst of turmoil and chaos.
The Lord is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation. He is my God, and I will praise him, my father”s God, and I will exalt him. Exodus 15:2
As a Christian, it”s important to realize in the context of your crisis that God is the Creator, He loves you, and desires a relationship with you. This helps you understand that there is a God much bigger than your troubles and worries.
“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” John 16:33
In this verse Jesus telling us that they we will experience challenges in our lives, but that He will hold our lives together and help us overcome our problems as he overcame sin and death on cross for us. Remember, it”s not always about removing our troubles, but about changing our hearts and mindsets and allowing us to walk through those valleys.
