Atlanta locals and visitors teased by the dusting of snow this winter, can find guaranteed acres of snow at Atlanta”s only snow park, Snow Mountain. Situated on what is commonly known as the “Laser Lawn,” the family park features snow tubing and snow play areas open daily from now through Jan. 3 (closed Dec. 24 and 25) and school holidays Jan. 7 through March 6.
New this year, Avalanche Alley is a family snow tube ride, which accommodates up-to five guests riding together in one tube. For solo tubing, parents and kids slide down a 400-foot hill featuring 10 tubing lanes. Also new for this year, Snow Mountain expanded the snow play area featuring Fort Snow, with multiple intermediate slides for kids getting their snow legs.
Family-friendly Snow Mountain activities are geared for all ages. In addition to snow tubing, traditional snow activities also offered include snowman and igloo building, snow angels and a Snowball Shooting Gallery. Plus you can cozy up by the fire and indulge in s”mores.
Tickets are $27 for adults and kids age 3-11 and include a two-hour tubing session plus unlimited time in the snow play areas. The snow park is open to all ages. For single tubes, guests must be 42 inches or taller. For the family tube ride, guests must be 36 inches or taller. Space is limited and advanced reservations are strongly recommended.
