The Minnesota Swarm Announces Relocation Plans to Metro-Atlanta

The Minnesota Swarm of the National Lacrosse League (NLL) announced that the team’s application to relocate to Georgia for the 2016 season has been approved.

The franchise will be named the Georgia Swarm and has agreed to play its home games at The Arena at Gwinnett Center, bringing the fastest game on two feet to the professional level in Georgia.

The Swarm is comprised of one of the most athletic rosters in the NLL, and this fall, it will hold a league-high four first-round draft picks.

During its 11 seasons in the NLL, the Swarm has been heavily dedicated to the lacrosse community and the sport’s growth. The team is looking forward to continuing its efforts
in Georgia.
