The Process Institute Hosts Cut-A-Thon for Bert”s Big Adventure

On October 29, The Process Institute of Cosmetology will host a Cut-A-Thon to benefit Bert”s Big Adventure.# Bert”s Big Adventure provides financial support to help chronically ill kids experience Walt Disney World#. The event is first come, first serve and will be held on from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. at The Process Institute of Cosmetology, 755 Lawrenceville Suwanee Road, Lawrenceville, GA 30043.

Each haircut will cost $10 and each blow dry will cost $10. Raffle tickets are also available for purchase for $2. Items raffled will include gift certificates to local businesses, hair tools such as blow dryer and flat iron, hair styling products, and more. All proceeds raised will be donated to Bert”s Big Adventure.

“The Process Institute is hosting this Cut-A-Thon because we believe that volunteerism and community service are important to the success and growth of our students and the well-being of our community,”# states Director of Education, Emily Chang.

Bert”s Big Adventure is a 501(c)(3) non”#profit organization designed to allow children, ages 5 to 12 years of age, with a chronic or terminal illness that prove financial need, to experience a magical, 5 day adventure with their families at Walt Disney World#. Through the Walt Disney World trip and additional events throughout the year, Bert”s Big Adventure simply takes these families away from the daily routine of stress and provides intimate time where, for a few short moments, their focus turns from their child”s illness to having fun and enjoying these special experiences.

The Process Institute is one of the top cosmetology schools in the Atlanta area offering courses in hair design and instructor training. TPIC also offers in-house hair services from current students.
