At Hayes Chrysler, we say that our company is the definition of family. One generation after another, from fathers to sons to grandsons, we have built our company around relationships with one another and with the community we serve.
In much the same way, Trisha Connor believes that strong relationships–not only with her students but in community with her colleagues–provide a nurturing stability for tomorrowÂ’s generation, and thatÂ’s one reason why weÂ’re proud to honor her as the 2015-16 Gwinnett County Public Schools Teacher of the Year.
Her dedicated career has included work with thousands of students, from Stripling Elementary School to Magill Elementary School and to her current position at Harbins Elementary School, where she is a STEM teacher for grades K-5.
“I think that in our profession you donÂ’t do it well without a deep passion, and that deep passion that drives you…can be contagious,” Connor says. “As a STEM teacher, (IÂ’m) cheering them on through that learning process.”
Hayes Chrysler and our great partners at Ally are proud to continue our tradition of presenting the Teacher of the Year with a new car for the year, as our way of saying, “Thank you, Trisha Connor, for ensuring that Success Lives Here.”
