This is a competitive juried show for all members of The Hudgens, age 18 and over. Not all entries will be selected for inclusion in the exhibition. Entry fee is $20 for up to 2 entries. The exhibition will be on view October 8 through December 23 in the Georgia Gallery.
Our juror will be Karen Tauches, a designer, artist, and curator based out of Atlanta, GA. Tauches has served on the boards of ARTPAPERS magazine, Burnaway.org and Eyedrum Art and Music Gallery, as well as on the Advisory Committee for the Hudgens Prize. She founded { Poem 88 } Gallery with Robin Bernat in 2010. Currently, she is the Gallery Manager & Guest Curator at the Forward Arts Foundation / Swan Coach House Gallery.
A “Best in Show” award of $100 and three “Honorable Mention” awards of $50 each will be selected by Tauches and announced at the reception. The Hudgens will also be offering a Purchase Prize.
Accepted media includes Drawing, Painting, Printmaking, Mixed Media, Ceramics, Glass, Photography, Fiber Art, Textile & Sculpture, and must not exceed 48 inches in any direction or weigh over 75lbs. Artwork must have been completed within the past two years.
Entries will be accepted through 11:59 pm Eastern on September 2, 2016 via online entry at Slideroom.
