United Community Bank has chosen fifteen of its emerging leaders for its 2017 Leadership Academy, a professional development program. Two Lawrenceville-based bankers have been selected for the program, which includes team members from around the four-state United Community Bank footprint.
“We are only as good as our people and firmly believe banking is a people business,” said Lynn Harton, president and chief executive officer of United Community Bank. “We are fortunate to have these talented individuals on our team and are glad to make this investment in their continued development and success.”
The second-year class includes United employees nominated by senior management throughout the Bank’s footprint. Members will participate in key meetings and leadership roundtables with United’s executive management. Members will also participate in Clemson University’s Center for Corporate Learning Mini MBA program in Greenville, S.C. as well as complete a project component. Sessions take place once a month for nine months with a graduation celebration upon completion.
The bankers selected from Lawrenceville included:
- Dorsey Grist, Commercial Relationship Manager
- Stephen Geer, Regional Credit Manager
