Partnership Gwinnett, Georgia’s largest local economic development organization, announced today that Li Wong has joined the team as Director of Entrepreneurship. Li will work to foster and support Gwinnett‘s entrepreneurs and small businesses in Partnership Gwinnett‘s target industries.
“I am happy to join such a well-respected and vital organization to Gwinnett and the metro Atlanta region,” said Li Wong, Director of Entrepreneurship, Partnership Gwinnett. “I look forward to assisting startups and small businesses in Gwinnett and contributing to the overall mission of Partnership Gwinnett.”
In this role, Li will be responsible for supporting Gwinnett‘s thriving entrepreneur ecosystem through mentoring, resource discovery and program development. Li will lead Partnership Gwinnett‘s annual Amazing Entrepreneur Contest, as well as serve as the key point of contact for Gwinnett Angels, a chapter of Atlanta Technology Angels. Li will focus his efforts in the technology, bioscience, advanced manufacturing and supply chain industries.

Prior to joining Partnership Gwinnett, Li served as the Publisher of Georgia Asian Times. He founded the publication in 2004 and it remains the largest circulated publication in English, covering the Asian American community in metro Atlanta and Georgia. Li also served as Country Manager for Dow Jones Interactive Publishing and the Asian Wall Street Journal Digital in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Prior to that, he was Director of International Affairs for the John Buck Company, a Chicago-based property development and investment company. Li also previously served as Director of Marketing – Asia Pacific for Conway / Site Selection magazine.

Li graduated with an MBA in International Business and a BBA in Management from Georgia State University. He is a Board member of Hong Kong Dragon Boat Festival-Atlanta (2014-present), Atlanta Asian Film Festival (2004-present), and Hong Kong Association of Atlanta (2015-present).
