After an extensive national search and interview process, Northeast Georgia Physicians Group (NGPG) recently appointed Daniel Tuffy as president and chief administrative officer.
Tuffy most recently served as vice president of Operations for CaroMont Health in Gastonia, North Carolina – a system with more than 600,000 annual patient visits, 40 practice locations and 250 providers. In his role, Tuffy worked in conjunction with the health system’s president and CEO to identify, develop and implement new programs to enhance and expand the organization’s services.
“I’m very excited and ready to lead an awarded organization like NGPG,” says Tuffy. “I already see the passion for community, leadership and exceptional patient care from offices, staff and providers.”
Tuffy holds a bachelor’s degree in Health Services Administration from the University of Central Florida, as well as a master’s degree in Business Administration from Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri. He and his wife, Bethany, have two young children – nine and four years old.
“Daniel brings a wealth of knowledge to this role, including experience aligning providers with a large, non-profit community hospital,” says Carol Burrell, president and CEO of Northeast Georgia Health System (NGHS). “I look forward to his leadership of NGPG and the exceptional primary and specialty care it provides in communities across our region.”
