Annual Memorial Day Ceremony Honors Gwinnett Fallen Military, Public Safety Personnel

The public is invited to a Memorial Day Ceremony at the Gwinnett Fallen Heroes Memorial in Lawrenceville on May 29 to remember those who gave what Abraham Lincoln called “the last full measure of devotion” in service to their country and community. The ceremony begins at 1:00pm.

The ceremony will pay tribute to Braselton Patrol Officer Todd Helcher who died in a car crash in 2005. Members of the Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners and honor guard units from the Gwinnett County Fire and Emergency Services, Police Department, Sheriff’s Office, and the Lawrenceville Police Department will participate in this event.
