Belk Hosts Private Shopping Event for GCPS Employees

Gwinnett County Public School (GCPS) employees were treated to a private shopping event at the Mall of Georgia. The Belk Education Appreciation Event featured gift cards, giveaways, and an additional 20% off everything in the store. GCPS shoppers were also treated to buffet edibles and entertainment by a disc jockey as fashion stylists modeled current trends.

Among the giveaways were designer handbags and sunglasses, cosmetic gifts baskets, and sterling silver jewelry. One lucky educator won a $500 Belk gift card.

More than 800 employees registered in advance to attend.

Tammy Bryant from Archer High, who attended along with coworker Pam Autrey, said, “there were good deals available, and everyone seemed to genuinely appreciate the event.”

Kimberly Williams of Lawrenceville Elementary concurred, “I could not wait to get to school to tell everyone. The food, music, deals and helpful staff made the night so exciting.”

“It was a pleasure to host such an enthusiastic group,” expressed Mall of Georgia Belks Manager, Tina Crouch.

In addition to this event, Belk stores in Gwinnett support the community in a variety of ways, most notably by offering a twice a year Belk Charity Day with proceeds benefiting local nonprofits including the GCPS Foundation. www.belks.com
