“We had a record number of 2016 grant requests,” said Executive Director Randy Redner. “To help meet that need a number of our fund holders generously gave to help us supersize our ability to grant requests – enabling us to give $100,000 more than last year! We are incredibly thankful for them and everyone who gave, including through our Good2Give fund, enabling us to directly impact many lives throughout our community!”
As part of the selection process, the Community Foundation’s grants committee spent eight weeks carefully considering each application.
“The members of our 2016 Grants Committee took their role very seriously and put many hours into this process,” said Dave Bearchell, chairman of the grants committee. “I want to thank them for their time, energy and effort they put into our grants selections this year. There were so many worthy applications, and we had a tough task selecting the ones that were the best fit for our grant cycle this year.”
