Gladiators Release 2017-2018 Schedule

The Atlanta Gladiators revealed the team’s 2017-2018 schedule on Tuesday, with their 2017 home opener set for Friday, October 20th, at 7:35 PM against the division rival Florida Everblades. The Gladiators will also face the Everblades the following evening at Infinite Energy Arena, with a start time of 7:05 PM.

The Gladiators will host 11 different teams over the course of their 36 home games from mid-October through early April, some of which include first looks at ECHL member teams that have yet to visit Atlanta. The Kansas City Mavericks (MO) and the Allen Americans (TX) began ECHL play during the 14-15 season, but will make their first trip to Duluth in November and February, respectively. Also visiting the Infinite Energy Arena will be four teams very familiar to Gladiators fans as division foes Greenville, South Carolina, Florida, and Orlando each have multiple stints in town. Joining the South Division in 17-18 will be the Jacksonville Icemen, who make their first appearance against Atlanta on Sunday, October 26th. Fans should also recognize the Idaho Steelheads and Kalamazoo Wings, both longtime ECHL member teams, and the Norfolk Admirals and Manchester Monarchs – both of whom made visits to Duluth last season.

24 of the team’s 36 home games will fall on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, with five additional “holiday” games occurring when local children are out of school. Fan favorite dates returning for the 17-18 season include the Gladiators annual Thanksgiving game (11/23 vs. South Carolina) and the MLK Jr. Holiday “Kids Day Out” game (1/15 vs. Florida @ 12:35 PM). Games occurring on Tuesday through Thursday, as well as Saturday, will continue to start at 7:05 PM. Friday home games have a 7:35 PM start time, and Sundays will remain at 2:05 PM.

The Atlanta Gladiators 15th anniversary season kicks off at the Infinite Energy Arena on Friday, October 20th against the Florida Everblades at 7:35 PM. For ticket package information, visit the official team website at www.atlantagladiators.com or call the main office line at 770-497-5100.

The Gladiators are members of the ECHL, the nation’s premier “AA” hockey league. All home games are played at the 11,355-seat Infinite Energy Arena, located just off I-85 on Sugarloaf Parkway in Duluth – where parking is always free. The Gladiators have established an unrivaled commitment to excellence, maintaining a distinctive reputation for affordable and family-friendly sports entertainment and consistently ranked as one of the top “Things To Do” in the Atlanta area and across the North Georgia region.
