That’s where the team at S &S Ace Hardware & Mower can help. S & S was established in 1987 by Spencer and Jean Snedecor and their son Scott. Today, this three-generation family business also includes Scott’s wife, Cathy, and their two children, Case and Christine.
They’ve been serving northeast Georgia for 30 years from their store in Buford and a second location in Braselton. From the beginning, they’ve been distinctly different than the large, big box stores.
“We’re here to help you fix and repair, rather than build or remodel,” says Scott. Their two locations stock just about everything you could ever need for your home improvement projects, plus a wide range of lawn and garden equipment.
The way they serve customers is also different. “Our customer service sets us apart. Many of our employees have been here for many years. The guy who sold you that lawn mower last year will be here this year when you come back,” says Scott. Ace Hardware is known for its high service standards, and regularly scores at the top of the J.D. Power customer satisfaction surveys.
The S & S repair service is another differentiator. “We service what we sell and stand behind our products. We have a dedicated parts and service section and can fix about any problem you might have with your equipment. If there’s a problem, we interface with the manufacturer and make it easy for our customer.”
Product lines are another plus. S &S Ace Hardware & Mower carries a wide range of premium brands in mowers and lawn equipment, hand held power tools, grills, paint and stains, and more. They have brands you won’t find other places, and their repair technicians are trained to service those premier products.
They’ll be moving to an expanded Buford location soon, just a quarter mile up the street, but one thing won’t change. “We believe that if we serve the customer and serve the community, we will succeed,” concludes Scott.
