Braselton readies “Celebrate July 4th” festivities
An array of festivities in downtown Braselton is planned for the “Celebrate July 4th” holiday.
Food vendors will line the perimeter of Town Green in the heart of the historic downtown. Families are encouraged to bring chairs or blankets to enjoy the patriotic atmosphere. Local favorite Moby Dick will perform from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM presenting family-friendly music. The traditional parade will begin at 6:00 PM beginning at the Braselton Tech Center and travel through downtown. A fireworks extravaganza will cap the evening.
Groups interested in joining the parade must pre-register at www.DowntownBraselton.com. There is no entry fee for the parade.
“It’s a celebration of America,” says festival organizer Jennifer Scott. “And it’s a great family atmosphere to enjoy in our beautiful downtown.”

What time does the event start?
The event kicks off July 3rd at 5:30PM on Town Green with live music, food trucks, inflatables and other fun activities and will conclude with Fireworks around 9:45PM over City Hall.
Are VIP tables available to purchase?
No, we do not have VIP tables available for purchase this year.
Can we bring coolers?
Of course! During Duluth Celebrates America, Downtown Duluth is an open container area so you are welcome to bring anything you want but we will have food and beverage vendors onsite if you do not wish to bring your own.
Can we set up a tent and tables?
No, tents and tables may not be set up as it restricts the view of other attendees in the area.
Can we reserve a spot on Town Green?
Many attendees will come early to lay down blankets and chairs to reserve their place for the day’s festivities. Please note that we do not allow staking of any kind into the grass and the City is not responsible for any items left unattended throughout the day.
Are pets welcome?
Yes, leashed pets are always welcome.
Where can we park?
Both Main Street and West Lawrenceville will be closed to through traffic and all City Hall parking will be blocked off for the Fireworks fall out zone. Dedicated handicap parking will be the top parking lot on Hill Street. Please visit our Downtown Duluth page to see more available free parking.

Lawrenceville Partners with Gwinnett for PRELUDE on July 3rd
The City of Lawrenceville together with Presenting Partner, Gwinnett County, will host a special Prelude to the 4th honoring America’s Day of Independence as well as Gwinnett’s Bicentennial Celebration on Tuesday, July 3rd beginning at 5 p.m. on the Lawrenceville Lawn. The patriotic celebration will include fun for the whole family and will feature live music from up-and-coming Nashville country music star Maggie Baugh opening for The Swingin’ Medallions. The event will also include food trucks, beer and wine from McCray’s Tavern, music from DJ Suspense and an expanded fireworks show.
“As the county seat with a historic backdrop, we look forward to celebrating our nation’s independence along with Gwinnett’s Bicentennial Anniversary,” commented City of Lawrenceville Mayor Judy Jordan Johnson. “On a day that marks the strong foundation on which our great country was built, we are also pleased to recognize Gwinnett’s history of success as we look to the future with many great things to come for our city, county, state and nation.”
“Early Gwinnett leaders selected the City of Lawrenceville as the county seat, and Lawrenceville has played a special role in our community’s history ever since,” said Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners Chairman Charlotte Nash. “Gwinnett County is a proud sponsor of the City of Lawrenceville’s Prelude to the 4th this year in honor of our shared celebration of the County’s Bicentennial. Exciting things are happening all across Gwinnett – especially here in the county seat – and we’re glad to be a part of it all.”
The patriotic celebration will begin with a “Flag-Raising Ceremony” presented by the VFW (Veterans of Foreign Wars) Post 5255, the Lawrenceville Women’s Club and a combined City and County Honor Guard. Live music will follow and the night will culminate with the illumination of the sky for an expanded fireworks extravaganza!

Multi-instrumentalist, and singer/songwriter, Maggie Baugh is a young, highly energetic, Nashville based country music sensation. At 18 years old, Maggie Baugh has already taken country music by storm. Her latest single, “Catch Me” can be heard on Radio Disney and the “Catch Me” official music video can be seen on CMT.com.
The Swingin’ Medallions have been based out of the Greenwood South Carolina area, since the early 1960’s. The music most often associated with the band is beach music, frat rock, R&B, or shaggin’ music. After a few years of touring colleges from the Carolinas to the Louisiana Bayou, John McElrath took the group to Arthur Smith’s Studio in Charlotte North Carolina, to record “Double Shot (of My Baby’s Love)”. The song became a million seller in 1966, and has been a party classic for college students for decades. “She Drives Me Out Of My Mind” and “Hey, Hey, Baby” were top 40 hits in 1966 and 1967, but “Double Shot” remains the signature song of the Swingin’ Medallions. The members of the Swingin’ Medallions have changed over the past 30 years, but the music remains the same. The present Medallions stage show has coined them the name, “The Party Band of the South.”

A1A is returning to Lilburn City Park! The fabulous fireworks show will begin at 9:30 p.m.
Join the City of Lilburn as we celebrate July 4th with our biggest event of the year, Sparkle in the Park. This annual event in Lilburn City Park will include live music, food, and of course, fireworks!
Event Schedule:
5:30 p.m. Event begins. Face painting, balloon makers, and family photos will be available at no cost until 9:30 p.m. Food trucks/vendors and bounce house tickets will be available for purchase.
6:30 p.m. A1A, recognized as the Official and Original Jimmy Buffett Tribute Show, will take the stage with their high-energy, family-friendly concert.
9:30 p.m. Fireworks will begin with patriotic instrumental accompaniment.
10:00 p.m. Event ends and park closes.
Parking:
Air-conditioned shuttles will transport attendees from parking lots at the International Farmers Market, Salem Baptist Church, First Baptist Church. (Lilburn Middle School parking lot is closed this year due to paving.)
Shuttles will be available before and after the event. Pick-up/drop-off point is at the Railroad Avenue park entrance.
Accessible parking will be reserved at City Hall.
What to bring:
Lawn chairs or blankets are recommended. Tents not allowed.
Coolers are allowed and are subject to search. No outside alcohol allowed. Beer and wine will be available for purchase at event.
Dogs are allowed on paved trails in park, not on field, playground, or pavilion.

The City of Sugar Hill invites you and your family to share a fun filled night with us. Celebrate and enjoy a FREE night of live music from Electric Avenue and the best fireworks display in Gwinnett County! Concessions and food will be available. Fireworks start after dark.
Coolers are allowed; no glass, please.
Please leave pets at home as fireworks can be frightening for animals.
Food trucks will be on site as well as alcohol for purchase.
Please do not bring your own fireworks, including sparklers.
Shuttle service starts at 5 PM and will run from Sugar Hill Church to the park until everyone has left the park at the end of the night.
