The first month of school has already flown past us and soon enough a second month will too. As students begin establishing their routine and adjust to their new schedule the dates of the highlighted events for first semester are quickly approaching.
Autumn’s near arrival brings the end to many beloved activities, but it brings many more activities to enjoy. With several football games past us the homecoming game only gets closer and so does the homecoming dance.
The homecoming football game this year is Friday, October 13th at Collins Hill High School. Varsity will play against Mountain View at 7:30 pm and the student section is a blackout. The following Saturday night is when the homecoming dance will take place. The Student Government Association chose New York City as this year’s theme for the dance.
It will take place at Collins Hill High School in the Commons Area and the party will start at 7 pm and end promptly at 11 pm. Tickets have already gone on sale on MyPaymentsPlus. A student ticket is only $20 while a non student ticket is $25 and the window to purchase tickets is open until the end of September. Plan for an exciting and fun filled weekend if you have already decided to attend both events or just one.
In the meantime there will be plenty of cheerleading competitions, cross country invitationals, softball games, volleyball games, and football games for anyone to enjoy as you wait for either homecoming or the next school break.
