The cafeteria is open. The booths are up. The ice cream scoopers are ready. But this isn’t an ice cream party! What is this? Inside Scoop!
Gwinnett School of Mathematics, Science, and Technology (GSMST) hosted their 3rd annual Inside Scoop on August 24 after school from 3-4 p.m.. This event brings the entire student body together in a way where everyone feels welcomed.
Inside Scoop, as known as Club Fair, is an opportunity for freshmen to explore and get the “scoop” on all the clubs offered at GSMST. Clubs can set up their booths and send representatives to promote their respective clubs.
However, this isn’t your typically walk-through symposium of all the extracurricular activities at the school. The FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) and VEX Robotics teams brought out the world champion robots to show the students how technology and teamwork combined can produce amazing things. The Defense Club demonstrated slick martial art moves that they guarantee be helpful when in need. A few of the reps from Medfinity, the medical club that began last year, even wore scrubs! This all shows that there is something for everyone here at GSMST, and we are all very enthusiastic to display our interests!
Along with this wonderful interactive opportunity, students can enjoy an ice cream treat provided by Student Council. Towards the end, to demonstrate the spirit of our student body, the Council even lead a dance mob for the student body. Everyone was in rhythm!
After seeing the successful turnout from Inside, all the club officers are definitely excited to see what they are going to accomplish with their new members.
